What is Speedify?

What applications does Speedify work with?

Speedify works with any programs or applications that use the Internet. Additionally, because Speedify is able to divide your traffic up between connections on a per-packet basis, even single-socket applications such as VPNs, streaming movies (like Netflix, YouTube etc.), uploading to, and downloading from cloud storage, even transferring files via FTP can be given a speed boost.
For legal reasons however, BitTorrent is only allowed on specific Speed Servers.

What about Bittorrent?

BitTorrent can only be used when connected to P2P-enabled Speed Servers.

If you would like to use peer-to-peer file-sharing platforms like BitTorrent with Speedify, you can connect to specific Speed Servers in our global network that are P2P-enabled. BitTorrent usage on our P2P servers is entirely legal and ensures that users on our general Speed Severs can enjoy optimal performance without being hindered by high-bandwidth activities.

What operating systems does Speedify run on?

Is Speedify cost-aware?

Yes! Speedify’s smart channel bonding technology can take into account the cost of each network connection. If you click on Settings, you can set the Priority of each Internet connection to let Speedify know how it should be used:

Always – Use this connection all the time to boost Internet speeds
Secondary – Only used when connections set to ‘Always’ are congested or unavailable. This setting is perfect if you want to use your 4G card or other costly Internet connections just when they’re needed to help keep your connectivity smooth.
Backup – Only use this connection to keep you on the Internet if none of the ‘Always’ or ‘Secondary’ connections are available
Never – Don’t use this connection

What kind of Internet speeds can I expect to see using Speedify?

With just a few clicks, Speedify can take multiple Internet connections and combine them for speeds up to 50 Mbps. That’s faster than most consumer Internet packages offered by today’s ISPs. We’re always working to improve our software and Speed Server infrastructure to give you faster speeds with Speedify. However, if you’ve already got a super-fast, Gigabit Internet link at home (we’re jealous!), or even a connection that’s approaching 50 Mbps, Speedify probably isn’t the right product for you unless the failover protection of multiple connections is a must.

What types of Internet connections can I use with Speedify?

Speedify can take advantage of almost any Internet connection that your computer is able to connect to, including DSL, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G devices, and tethered smartphones. As long as your computer can receive an IPv4 address, Speedify will use it.

If your device or network requires additional configuration (such as running dialer software for mobile broadband networks or logging into captive portals on WiFi and Ethernet networks at hotels or airports) you’ll need to perform the required steps before Speedify will be able to utilize it.
