On the 179th episode of Speedify LIVE we welcome back fellow Philly-based company, Switchboard Live, this time to chat with their community manager and content creator, India Delgado.

We chat about India’s tasks as community manager, how Switchboard came to be, what’s new and what’s coming to the service, and how they choose their partners.

Here are our 5 takeaways from our chat with India Delgado:

1. Switchboard’s Viral StreamShare feature lets you stream not only to your guest’s channel, but to any user that has the Viral StreamShare link! India says that because they allow an unlimited amount of inputs for the Viral StreamShare, they’ve had customers who linked 30 different destinations to get their message out 
2. Another feature that India highlights, is the ability to “multistream on all sides”: this means that you can set up as many inputs and outputs as you’d like, deciding which input goes to which destination, and have a remote producer control it all within your Cloud Connect, like a real TV production! 
3. Switchboard Live is working on a number of upcoming improvements and new features down the pipeline! While your account, Cloud Connect, is cloud-based it doesn’t offer storage yet, but they’re working on adding Archives soon! They’re also testing better analytics, as well as an embed player that you can use for your website! 
4. Switchboard Live may not have a “partner program” per se, but they do tend to partner with companies that they feel are a good match: they look for easy API access, and work directly with platforms like Restream, Streamyard and Ecamm. Part of India’s role as community manager is to define strong partnerships with organizations that they could work with to make livestreaming better and easier.
5. No stream can go by without any issues, BUT while we were talking, we managed to sort our audio out! We removed the initial echo by adjusting some of India’s settings and removing the audio loop; and we managed to remove the audio pops by switching from 1080P to 720P! Sometimes it’s as easy as that!
