With the new Speedify 10, users can easily connect, customize, and optimize their remote access experience. Following constant feedback from our users, we’ve gone back to the drawing board and completely reimagined the user experience putting streaming, statistics and performance data front and center.

Before the pandemic hit the world, streaming video accounted for over 60% of total Internet traffic. But since COVID-19, that number has surged to over 80%. Sensing the urgency of the matter, we completely reshuffled our roadmap to prioritize the development of features that could potentially make a real difference in this new socially distanced world. Our engineers rolled out Streaming Mode at the end of march, and have been fine tuning it ever since for maximum performance.

Bottom line: Speedify 10 improves streaming by automatically detecting and prioritizing real-time streams such as video calls and VoIP. When you’re connecting to public Wi-Fi hotspots, most of them require you to sign in or accept some terms and conditions. That intermediary page is called a captive portal and cannot be accessed normally with a VPN, due to the encrypted tunnel. Once again, Speedify solved this issue – it can detect captive portals and intelligently allow you to log onto the network by bypassing the VPN tunnel when you connect to the captive portal.

Once you are logged in, all traffic goes through the VPN tunnel. This way, you don’t have to be vulnerable to cyber attacks while logging onto a public network.
