Speedify Lets Managed Service Providers Use Starlink to Deliver More Resilient Internet Connectivity
This guide covers how MSPs can integrate Starlink into their managed connectivity stack, how Speedify fits into that model, and which client deployment scenarios benefit most.
~33 min
Speedify gives your business a Starlink connection that stays online.
Real-world data from 6,228 Starlink dishes shows every dish goes down ~33 minutes per day. For businesses, that means dropped transactions, failed calls, and interrupted operations. Speedify adds a cellular backup and fails over in under a second — so your team never notices.

Why MSPs Are Turning to Starlink Internet for Client Connectivity
MSPs managing client networks in rural areas, construction sites, temporary offices, and remote facilities face a common problem: traditional wired broadband is not available, and cellular is not fast or reliable enough for business-critical applications. Starlink changes this by providing broadband-level download speeds of 25 to 220 Mbps via satellite at almost any location.
For an MSP, Starlink serves two distinct roles. As a primary connection at sites without wired infrastructure, Starlink provides the only viable high-speed internet option. As a secondary backup alongside an existing wired or cellular connection, Starlink provides automatic failover managed by Speedify when the primary connection fails.
Speedify enables MSPs to deploy and manage both roles from a software layer on client routers or CPE, without requiring dedicated multi-WAN hardware at each client site. Speedify bonds Starlink with existing connections, monitors both continuously, and fails over automatically without any manual intervention at the client premises.
How Speedify Works in MSP-Managed Starlink Deployments
Speedify runs on the CPE or router at each client site and monitors all active connections simultaneously. When Starlink and a secondary connection such as 4G/5G cellular or a wired broadband link are both active, Speedify bonds them and delivers up to 95% of their combined upload and download capacity. When either connection degrades or drops, Speedify shifts all client traffic to the working connection at the packet level. Client applications, cloud tools, and VoIP services stay online without intervention from the MSP or the client.
Speedify also encrypts all internet traffic at each client site, protecting client data across every connection path.
How MSPs Can Deploy Speedify with Starlink at Client Sites
Step 1: Provision Starlink at the Client Site
Install and activate Starlink at the client location. For sites without wired broadband, Starlink serves as the primary connection. For sites with existing broadband, Starlink serves as the active secondary and failover path.
Step 2: Connect Starlink to the Client’s Router Alongside Any Existing Internet Connections
Connect the Starlink router to the client’s managed CPE or router. If a secondary wired or cellular connection exists, connect it to a separate interface on the same device. Both connections should appear as active network interfaces.
Step 3: Deploy Speedify on the Client CPE or Router
Download Speedify and install it on the client’s router or CPE. Speedify detects all active connections and begins bonding them immediately. The client site now has managed, multi-path internet connectivity that Speedify handles automatically.
Which MSP Deployments Benefit Most from Starlink and Speedify
- MSPs managing rural client sites where cable and fiber are unavailable and Starlink provides the only viable broadband option
- MSPs responsible for branch office connectivity who need a reliable backup path at every client location without installing dedicated hardware
- MSPs supporting temporary or mobile client deployments such as construction site offices, event production setups, and pop-up retail locations
- MSPs delivering internet services to small and mid-sized businesses that need higher combined upload and download speeds than a single connection provides
- Network engineers at MSPs who want software-based bonding and failover that scales across multiple client sites without per-site hardware investment

Speedify Also Monitors Starlink Terminal Health at Client Sites
Speedify displays real-time Starlink dish alerts for each connected terminal in the app dashboard. If any client’s Starlink dish detects a hardware issue such as a thermal throttle condition or a non-vertical mast, Speedify surfaces the alert immediately. MSPs can use this to proactively address hardware issues at client sites before they affect service continuity.
