Speedify Makes Starlink a Deliver Faster Internet Upload and Download Speeds for Your Office
This guide covers how Starlink works as an office internet connection, where it falls short, and how Speedify closes those gaps.
Daily Starlink downtime
~33 min
Starlink connections are unreachable for an average of 33 minutes every day — across 6,228 real-world dishes. That’s 2.3% of connected time.

How Starlink Works as Office Internet
Starlink’s business plan, Starlink Business, delivers download speeds between 40 and 220 Mbps and upload speeds between 8 and 25 Mbps depending on location and conditions. For small to mid-sized offices with a dozen or fewer simultaneous users, that is workable for most cloud applications, video conferencing, and file sharing.
Starlink also offers priority data on its business plan, meaning office traffic is deprioritized less than residential traffic during congestion periods. This makes Starlink Business more consistent during peak hours than consumer Starlink plans.
The limitation for offices is the same as for any satellite service: weather events, dish obstructions, and occasional satellite handoffs can cause brief slowdowns or dropouts. For an office where a dropped VoIP call or a failed cloud sync has real consequences, a single internet connection is a risk. Speedify pairs Starlink with a secondary connection, such as 4G/5G cellular or a wired broadband backup, so your office internet stays live and fast regardless of what happens to either individual connection.
How Speedify Improves Starlink for Office Internet
Speedify runs on your office devices or on a router and monitors all active internet connections simultaneously. When Starlink and a secondary internet connection are both active, Speedify bonds both and delivers up to 95% of their combined upload and download capacity. When Starlink slows or drops, Speedify moves all office traffic to the secondary connection at the packet level. Active calls, video sessions, and cloud application connections are not interrupted.
Speedify also encrypts all internet traffic, protecting business data across every connection your office uses.
How to Set Up Speedify with Starlink for Your Office
Step 1: Install Your Starlink Business Dish
Mount your Starlink dish with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. Connect it to your office network. Use the Starlink app to confirm signal and check obstruction maps before finalizing the install location.
Step 2: Add a Secondary Internet Connection
Connect a 4G/5G cellular router, a USB cellular modem, or a secondary wired broadband connection to your office router or the device running Speedify. Confirm the secondary connection is active. This gives Speedify a second path to bond with Starlink.
Step 3: Download and Run Speedify
Download Speedify and install it on your office router or primary device. Speedify will detect all active connections and begin bonding them immediately. No manual network configuration is needed.

Which Offices Should Use Starlink with Speedify
- Offices in rural or underserved areas where cable or fiber is not available and Starlink is the fastest broadband option
- Temporary or pop-up office locations such as construction site offices, event production offices, or disaster response coordination centers
- Small businesses with remote or distributed teams who rely on video conferencing and cloud applications and cannot afford connection drops
- Offices transitioning between internet providers who need Starlink as a bridge or backup during the changeover period
- IT managers responsible for branch office connectivity who want software-based bonding and failover without installing dedicated multi-WAN hardware

Speedify Also Monitors Your Starlink Dish Status at the Office
Speedify displays real-time Starlink dish alerts in the app dashboard. If your Starlink dish detects a stuck actuator motor, a non-vertical mast, or a thermal throttle condition, Speedify shows the alert immediately. Alerts appear when the condition has been active for at least 15 seconds and clear once resolved.
For IT managers, this means Starlink hardware issues are surfaced before they cause office-wide outages.
