1. Doc Rock’s best advice for potential livestreamers: just start doing it and get your reps in! Don’t worry about the details, equipment and numbers right away, just pick up your phone, start your stream and keep going at it!
2. Ecamm Live is probably the easiest Mac livestreaming platform out there right now. It doesn’t require any complex setup steps from the user, you just hop on, sign in, and it’s ready for streaming, and even having guests on. Plus, the community is great!
3. According to Doc Rock, the future of livestreaming is shopping directly through the stream. This is something that’s currently being worked on at Amazon Live, where you can link to certain products you show off  live, and you get a cut from the products sold through your link.
4. One product we’re recommended is Descript, a software that takes your recording, creates a transcript of it, and allows you to edit the recording itself by simply editing the text. This makes removing your “uhs” and “ums” a lot easier, without having to learn complicated editing software!
5. Streamergencies are a common thing when you’re in the livestreaming business. One such case Doc Rock has recently experienced was on Ecamm Live’s multi-thousand person conference, where their connection went out completely for the rest of the day. Thanks to Speedify they managed to hold a successful conference just from an iPhone 12, combining their connections in Speedify, without any further interruptions.
