Speedify Server Infrastructure

Private Speedify servers. Your infrastructure or ours.

Every Speedify session terminates at a server. For most users, that's our shared global network. For businesses that need a static IP, port forwarding, guaranteed resources, or full data residency control, Speedify offers two private server options: Dedicated Servers managed by Speedify, and Self-Hosted Servers you run on your own infrastructure.

01 · Overview

Three server tiers. Same bonding stack.

Every Speedify deployment runs the same packet-level bonding, automatic failover, and AES-256 encryption regardless of which server tier you use. The difference is where the server lives, who manages it, and what controls you get. Public servers on the Speedify Cloud are included with every plan. Dedicated and Self-Hosted servers are add-ons for businesses that need more.

MIX & MATCH

Where Speedify installs and where it routes to are independent decisions. A retail chain might run Speedify on store routers terminating at a Dedicated Server. A media production team might run the app on field laptops terminating at a Self-Hosted Server in their broadcast facility. Most enterprise customers combine multiple patterns across their footprint.

02 · DEDICATED SERVERS

Managed cloud instances. Reserved for your organization.

A Speedify Dedicated Server is a private virtual machine hosted in one of Speedify's 50+ global data center locations, allocated solely to your team. No other customers share your resources. Speedify handles provisioning, maintenance, and uptime monitoring.

WHAT YOU GET

A private server instance with up to 1 Gbps throughput and 3 TB of monthly bandwidth, expandable on request. A dedicated static IPv4 address for IP whitelisting, firewall rules, and consistent inbound access. Port forwarding for services that need to be reachable from the public internet, including remote desktop, hosted applications, and inbound data feeds. An SLA with service credits: one free day of service for every hour of unplanned downtime. Plus continued access to Speedify's full global shared server network alongside your dedicated instance.

HOW IT WORKS

Choose a server location from Speedify's network and the team provisions a private VM for your account. Your dedicated server appears in the Speedify app's server list alongside shared servers, and automatic server selection will prioritize your dedicated server when it offers the lowest latency. You can change locations from one billing period to the next.

When a Dedicated Server is the right fit

IP Whitelisting

Consistent static IP for secure access

Teams that need a whitelisted IP for corporate resources, cloud platforms, or third-party services that restrict access by address.

Latency-Sensitive Workloads

Predictable performance for real-time traffic

Video conferencing, live production, and real-time data transfer where shared infrastructure introduces too much variability in throughput and latency.

Turnkey Deployment

Managed infrastructure, minimal IT overhead

Businesses that want private server resources without provisioning their own hardware or managing server software. Speedify handles everything.

03 · Self-Hosted Servers

Your hardware. Your data center. Speedify's bonding stack.

The Speedify Self-Hosted Server is a server component that completes the Speedify bonding stack inside your own environment. Install it on bare metal, on a VM at any cloud provider, or at a colocation facility. You choose the hardware, the hosting provider, and the geographic location. Speedify provides the software and licensing.

WHAT YOU GET

Unlimited monthly bandwidth with no Speedify-imposed caps, limited only by your hosting provider or hardware. Unmetered speeds determined by your server's resources and network capacity. A static IPv4 address and port forwarding, just like a Dedicated Server. Full data residency control, keeping all bonded traffic within your own infrastructure and jurisdiction. Self-hosted server traffic does not count against your Speedify plan's data allowance.

Licensing tiers

Personal — up to 5 devices
For small teams, individual deployments, or proof-of-concept rollouts ahead of a larger deployment.
Enterprise — up to 1,000 devices
For distributed workforces, MSP deployments, and multi-site operations. Multiple accounts can share a single server as long as they belong to the same Speedify Families or Teams subscription.

When a Self-Hosted Server is the right fit

Data Residency & Compliance

Keep bonded traffic inside your jurisdiction

Healthcare, legal, finance, and government organizations with regulatory requirements for where traffic is processed and stored.

Distributed Workforce

Bonding and failover at every remote endpoint

IT teams and MSPs managing connectivity for remote or field workers who need reliable, bonded connections wherever they operate.

Existing Infrastructure

Add bonding without replacing your stack

Network engineers who already self-host VPN or SD-WAN infrastructure and want to layer packet-level bonding on top without changing what they have.

Underserved Regions

A local bonding endpoint where you need it

Companies operating in geographic locations not covered by Speedify's public server network who need a low-latency bonding endpoint nearby.

Router & SD-WAN Deployments

Private server endpoint for bonding hardware

Businesses using Speedify with OpenWRT, GL.iNET, or Miri routers that require a dedicated server termination point they control.

04 · Side by Side

How the two options compare.

Both Dedicated and Self-Hosted servers deliver the same bonding, failover, encryption, static IP, and port forwarding. The differences are in hosting, capacity, and who is responsible for operations.
