Speedify × Remote Operations

Bond Starlink off the grid. One resilient network for every remote operation.

Bond multiple Starlink dishes — plus cellular and any other available link — into a single resilient network across an entire site or mobile deployment. From mine sites to drilling pads to civil construction to forward operating bases, every device on every link, working as one.

01 · The Challenge

A single satellite link is no match for the work.

Remote operations live with conditions that punish a single uplink. Starlink's constellation hands off to a new satellite every 15 seconds. Heavy weather, dust, and storm fronts degrade signal. Equipment moves through the site and creates new line-of-sight obstructions. Generators cycle. Vehicles relocate command posts to follow the work. And in a forward operating environment, the link that worked at the staging area might be different from the link that's available three kilometers downrange.

For mining operations, the connectivity is what carries the haul truck telemetry, the drill data, the safety systems, and the camp Wi-Fi the crew rely on for morale on long rotations. For oil and gas, it's well telemetry, real-time pressure data, contractor coordination, and ERP back to corporate. For civil construction, it's project management, BIM coordination, inspection data, payroll, and the increasingly remote workforce that lives onsite for weeks. For defense and emergency operations, it's mission-critical, full stop.

A single Starlink dish is the fastest portable internet ever built. It's also a single point of failure in environments designed to break things.

02 · The Solution

One bonded network. Every link, every site state.

Speedify bonds multiple Starlink dishes — plus cellular, microwave links, wired backhaul where it exists, and any other IP-based connection — into a single encrypted network at the packet level. Every active session draws from the combined bandwidth of every active link. If one dish loses sight of the constellation or a link degrades, the others absorb the traffic in milliseconds.
  • Multiple Starlink dishes provide independent satellite paths — no two enter handoff at the same moment, so the transition is invisible
  • Cellular adds carrier-diverse redundancy when a tower or carrier network is in range
  • Speedify runs encrypted (AES-256) end-to-end; existing site VLANs, ICS / SCADA isolation, and any tactical network separation remain intact
  • Per-link priorities can route operational traffic (telemetry, command-and-control, safety systems) and crew traffic (welfare Wi-Fi, video calls) differently across the same bond

// what the site sees

Uptime that survives the conditions.

No dropped telemetry stream when the storm rolls through. No reset on the inspection upload halfway across the cell network boundary. No frozen Teams call in the camp lounge during a satellite handoff. Just a connection that keeps working — which is what every line item below it on the project plan depends on.

03 · Scenarios

Built for the work, wherever it goes.

Remote operations don't sit still. Crews move between sites. Command vehicles relocate to follow the work. Coverage shifts as the project progresses or the operation extends. Speedify rebalances continuously across whichever links are available and best-performing — without intervention from the site IT lead or the comms officer.

01 / Fixed sites

Camps · Pads · Field offices · Forward operating bases

Whole-site connectivity that doesn't go down with one dish

Permanent or semi-permanent installations bond multiple Starlink dishes — and cellular, where a tower is in range — into one site network. Crew Wi-Fi, operational systems, telemetry, and contractor laptops all share the same bonded uplink. One dish goes down for maintenance or weather, the site keeps working.

02 / MOBILE AND VEHICULAR

Command vehicles · Mobile rigs · Response trucks · Tactical vehicles

Connectivity that travels with the operation

Vehicle-mounted Starlink dishes bonded with cellular deliver continuous connectivity as the vehicle relocates. Sessions stay live across coverage transitions — no manual reconfiguration when the vehicle crosses from one carrier's footprint to the next, or moves from cellular into satellite-only territory.

03 / Active environments

Equipment movement · Dust and weather · Crowded RF

Obstructions and interference don't take down the link

A truck pulls between a dish and the constellation. Storm cells move across the site. Other operations on adjacent frequencies create interference. Any one of these takes down a single-link site. Bonded links absorb the disruption — operations don't stop.

04 / SURGE CAPACITY

Project ramp · Incident response · High-bandwidth windows

Throughput scales with the link count, not the satellite

When a project ramps from 30 to 300 personnel onsite, when an incident requires a sudden upload of high-resolution data, when contractor traffic spikes during a weekly milestone — Speedify uses every link in the bond. Throughput scales with what's connected, not with what one satellite happens to deliver.

04 · Deployment

Two ways to deploy on site or in the vehicle.

Speedify deploys at the site or vehicle network edge for whole-deployment coverage, or at the device level for specific high-priority workstations. Most remote operations run both.

Network level

Run Speedify on a supported bonding router so every device — site Wi-Fi, ops workstations, telemetry gateways, IoT sensors, vehicle networks — benefits from bonded connectivity without per-device installation. Two paths:

  • Supported OpenWrt routers: With a Speedify for Routers license.
  • Powered by Speedify routers: Speedify is preinstalled and ready to configure.

For larger fleets, command vehicles, and integrators building hardened or ruggedized networking stacks, the Speedify SDK is available for direct integration with existing operational IT systems.

Device level

Install the Speedify app directly on a site supervisor's laptop, a remote engineer's workstation, a tactical operator's device, or any high-priority machine. Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Best for: specific high-priority workstations, single-vehicle pilots ahead of fleet rollout, or proof-of-concept deployments at a single site before broader adoption.

05 · Telemetry

One view of every link, on site or back at HQ.

Speedify integrates directly with Starlink's dish telemetry to surface real-time link health on the Speedify dashboard. Obstruction events, signal degradation, thermal throttling, and hardware faults appear within 15 seconds of detection — typically before anyone on site notices the dish stutter.

Each dish reports independently, so a site IT lead or comms officer can pinpoint exactly which terminal is degraded.
