IP whitelisting is one of the simplest access controls a company can apply: only approved IP addresses are allowed to reach a system, and everything else is turned away. It works well until the people who need access stop connecting from a predictable address. Remote and field teams do exactly that. They move between office Wi-Fi, home broadband, hotel networks, and cellular hotspots, and every change hands them a different IP.
The result is a familiar headache for IT. Either you widen the whitelist until it barely restricts anything, or you spend your week approving new addresses one at a time. Neither is good security, and neither scales.
Learn how Speedify Dedicated Servers provide a solid infrastructure for your business when it comes to IP whitelisting requirements for remote connectivity.
Why IP whitelisting and remote work collide
Whitelisting assumes a stable origin address, and a distributed team has no such thing. A salesperson on the road, an engineer at a client site and a support agent at home all arrive from addresses that change without warning, many of them shared with strangers on the same network. Routing everyone through a commercial VPN does not fix it either, because shared VPN servers hand out shared, rotating addresses.
Speedify is an app that combines several internet connections at once, and a Speedify Dedicated Server is built for exactly this problem.
With Speedify, your internet stays on when one connection fails.

One static IP the whole team connects through
A Speedify Dedicated Server solves this by giving your organization a single static IPv4 address that the whole team connects through, no matter where each person physically is. You whitelist that one address once, on the VPN, the admin panel, the database, or the cloud console, and it stays valid. The worker’s local network can change a dozen times a day, and the address your systems see does not move.
Because Speedify combines Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular, Ethernet, Starlink and satellite into one connection per device, each person with two or more connections also gets a connection that is faster and more reliable on the way to that trusted address. If one connection drops mid-session, Speedify moves traffic to the remaining connections and the address your systems see stays the same, so access through the whitelisted IP holds steady. On a single connection Speedify still provides the static IP and encryption, but it cannot stop that connection from dropping.
Benefits of Speedify Dedicated Servers for a business’ IT team
- One address to manage: approve a single static IP instead of an ever-growing list.
- Cleaner audits: traffic to protected systems arrives from a known origin, which is easier to log and review.
- Consistent access: encrypted connections (DTLS 1.2 with AES-256-GCM or ChaCha20-Poly1305) terminate at a server reserved for your organization.
- A guaranteed service level: a Speedify Dedicated Server is backed by an SLA that credits a day of free service for every hour of unplanned downtime.
Scaling the Speedify solution across the organization
A Speedify Dedicated Server pairs with Speedify Teams, so every person and device in the organization can route through the same dedicated address while IT manages licenses centrally. For deployments that need traffic to terminate on infrastructure the organization controls, Speedify Self-Hosted Servers keep traffic on that infrastructure with the organization’s own static IP; the server still activates through my.speedify.com.
