Use Speedify to Live Stream Youth Sports with sidelineHD
Speedify keeps your sidelineHD stream steady by carrying it over your Wi-Fi and 4G/5G cellular at the same time, so a dip in one connection doesn't drop the broadcast. Need more upload room at a packed field?
Speedify's Pair & Share feature pairs your phone with the phones around you and pools everyone's cellular both ways, so each device gets a faster, steadier connection. No cables, no new data plans, no setup beyond a tap in the Speedify app.
Quick answer
Should you have a backup 4G, 5G, Starlink, or cable internet connection?
Yes — every internet connection goes down, including Starlink, which drops for ~34 minutes a day on average. A backup connection from a different provider means one outage never takes you fully offline. The most common options are a 4G/5G cellular hotspot, a cable or DSL line, or a second satellite dish.
4G/5G cellular
Works anywhere. Just a SIM or hotspot — no installation needed.

Best for fixed locations. Different network, so outages rarely overlap.

Adds redundancy and throughput for remote sites or heavy usage.

Speedify gives you faster, steadier internet by combining Wi-Fi, cellular, and Starlink
Speedify bonds Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular, Ethernet, and Starlink into one connection at the same time, giving you more speed, automatic failover when one drops, and AES-256 encryption on every link.

Automatic failover
If a connection drops, Speedify moves your traffic to another in milliseconds. Calls stay connected.
Always encrypted
Every link runs through an encrypted tunnel, including public Wi-Fi, cellular, and Starlink.

Speedify Pair & Share: share cellular between your devices, both ways
Most hotspots give. Speedify's Pair & Share gives and takes. Two devices running Speedify pair up and each uses the other's cellular connection simultaneously, so you both get faster uploads, faster downloads, and a steadier connection. No extra hardware, no new data plans, no setup beyond a tap.

Always private
Every shared connection runs through AES-256 encryption. Your traffic is yours.
No new gear

Reasons You Get sidelineHD Stream Issues
Livestreaming youth sports with sidelineHD is designed to be simple and seamless—but occasionally, you might run into a few issues. You might experience poor video quality, choppy video, stream not starting or dropping. This happens due to either the venue Wi-Fi or the cellular network being sub par for the amount of traffic going through.
sidelineHD watches your live upload speed and texts a warning when the connection can no longer support your video resolution, then suggests dropping to 540p or 720p. That keeps the stream alive but makes the game look worse. The warning fires because the upload fell, usually from a congested tower (full signal bars do not mean fast upload), a crowded venue, or a single connection with no backup.
Speedify raises the upload by combining your Wi-Fi and 4G/5G cellular at once, which is what keeps you at full quality instead of downgrading. Keep in mind a few app-side limits too: sidelineHD caps a single stream at four hours, so start a fresh stream between games on long tournament days, and keep the phone shaded so it does not overheat and throttle.
Speedify: a Must Have when Livestreaming Youth Sports on sidelineHD for Faster, More Reliable and Secure Internet
Use Speedify’s cellular sharing functionality that allows you to combine multiple personal hotspots together to increase internet upload and download speeds for everyone.
Speedify's Pair & Share feature is a new kind of personal hotspot. Instead of just one device sharing its internet, all paired devices can both share and receive connections at the same time.
Here’s what you need to do in order to use Speedify’s cellular sharing functionality when livestreaming your kids' games on sidelineHD without issues:
- Get the Speedify app on all your devices and connect to the same Wi-Fi network. This can be created by one of your devices or you can use a public Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure you have Pair & Share enabled on all devices. Start by pairing a device to share and receive.
- You are now taking advantage of both your and others’ Internet connectivity for faster, more reliable and secure Internet while live streaming your kids' basketball games.
Traffic between devices is fully encrypted, and you always maintain full control over which devices can do what - set permissions, limits, or unpair from other devices at any time.
