Speedify 17.1: Search the Settings, Plus Better Performance Over Long-Distance Internet Connections

Speedify 17.1 Adds Search to Speedify Settings

Speedify settings have grown release by release. Bonding Mode, Streaming Prioritization and the Performance Enhancing Proxy sit under Session Settings. Bypass sits under Privacy. Dashboard and display options sit under Preferences and Display Settings. Finding a setting meant knowing which menu holds the setting.

The short version: Speedify 17.1, released on 21 August 2026 for Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux and OpenWrt, adds search to the Speedify settings, so you can search for a setting instead of opening menu after menu. Speedify 17.1 also improves performance over long-distance internet connections and fixes the user interface on Android Automotive.

In this release:

  • Search in Speedify settings
  • Better performance over long-distance internet connections
  • Android: user interface fixes on Android Automotive

How to Search the Speedify Settings

The Speedify user interface now lets you search the settings. Search helps most with settings you open rarely, such as Streaming Prioritization or the Performance Enhancing Proxy, where remembering the menu is the hard part.

Better Performance Over Long-Distance Internet Connections

Speedify 17.1 improves performance over long-distance internet connections. Physical distance between your device and a server is among the factors that affect latency, the time data takes to reach a server and come back.

User Interface Fixes on Android Automotive

Android Automotive is the version of Android built into a car’s own dashboard screen. Speedify 17.1 fixes user interface issues on Android Automotive.

How to Update to Speedify 17.1
