Speedify × Houses of Worship
Keep your congregation online, wherever they are.
The Problem
The service stream goes down during the most-watched moment.
Houses of worship stream services to congregants who cannot attend in person - members who are homebound, travelling, in other cities, or in other countries. For many of them, the Sunday morning or Friday evening stream is their primary point of connection with their faith community. When it drops mid-sermon, they are simply gone.
Most houses of worship run on a single ISP line. When that line goes down, during a power fluctuation, a maintenance window, a cable cut, or an unexplained outage, the stream stops. Online giving links stop working. Remote pastoral calls disconnect. There is no automatic recovery on a single-connection setup.
Larger congregations with professional production setups stream at high bitrates to dedicated platforms. Rural and suburban houses of worship often have limited broadband options and need satellite internet as a primary or backup path. Both face the same problem: one connection means one point of failure.
One ISP line means the service is
one outage away from going dark.
The Solution
One bonded internet connection. The service stays live regardless.
- When the primary broadband line drops, Speedify shifts traffic to cellular and satellite backup instantly. Active streaming sessions continue without interruption.
- Speedify's streaming mode prioritises live video traffic automatically, keeping upload throughput stable at the encoder's target bitrate during the full service window.
- Speedify works with all major streaming platforms and production software used in worship - OBS, vMix, Wirecast, Boxcast, Church Online Platform - with no configuration changes required.
- Speedify encrypts all bonded traffic with AES-256 end-to-end, protecting online giving transactions and pastoral communications.
The service stays live.
The congregation stays connected.
Scenarios
Built for every kind of houses of worship operation.
01 / Live service broadcasting
The broadcast holds from the opening prayer to the final blessing.
02 / Online giving and member portal access
Giving platforms stay online when the primary line drops.
03 / Multi-campus and remote pastoral care
Pastoral connections that don't drop mid-conversation.
04 / High-attendance services and holidays
Peak-viewership services protected by a bonded uplink.
Stack
Speedify works under the streaming software your team already uses.
Speedify operates at the network layer below them. The streaming software sees a single, more resilient internet connection. Stream keys, bitrate settings, and platform destinations stay exactly as configured.
No changes to the production workflow are required.
The Solution
Two ways to run Speedify at your worship facility.
Network level
Run Speedify on a compatible router to cover the entire facility network: production workstations, giving kiosks, pastoral office computers, and staff devices all benefit from bonded connectivity. A compatible OpenWrt device bonds wired broadband, 4G/5G cellular, and Starlink simultaneously.
- Supported OpenWrt routers: With a Speedify for Routers license.
- Powered by Speedify routers: Speedify is preinstalled and ready to configure.
Device level
Visibility
Every link, on screen, before it shows on air.
Speedify integrates directly with Starlink's dish telemetry to surface real-time link health on the Speedify dashboard. Obstruction events, signal degradation, thermal throttling, and hardware faults appear within 15 seconds of detection — typically before the bonded encoder reports a bitrate dip and well before the audience sees anything.
Each dish reports independently, so an engineer in the truck or back at the network operations center can pinpoint exactly which link is degrading.
