Bond Starlink at sea. One resilient network for every vessel.
Bond multiple Starlink dishes plus 4G/5G cellular and shore Wi-Fi when in range into a single resilient network across the entire vessel. Underway, at anchor, or alongside, every system aboard stays online through the same uplink.
01 · The Challenge
A single satellite link is no match for life at sea.
The ocean is the hardest environment for a single internet connection. Starlink's LEO constellation hands off to a new satellite every 15 seconds. Heavy weather degrades signal. Rigging, masts, derricks, and adjacent vessels can block line-of-sight in an instant. And in a port or marina, every other ship is competing for the same Wi-Fi and cellular spectrum.
For most vessels - commercial fishing boats, workboats, ferries, expedition ships, charter yachts, offshore support vessels - internet connectivity is no longer a nice-to-have. Crew rely on it for welfare and morale on long rotations. Operators rely on it for catch reporting, fuel and engine telemetry, ETA updates, and shoreside coordination. Bridge teams rely on it for weather routing, ENC chart updates, and vessel traffic services. Passengers and guests, where they're aboard, expect it to just work.
A single Starlink dish is the fastest satellite internet ever built. It's also a single point of failure.
02 · The Solution
Speedify bonds Starlink at the packet level.
Speedify bonds multiple Starlink dishes - plus any 4G/5G cellular, shore Wi-Fi, or wired uplinks available - into a single encrypted network at the packet level. Every active session draws from the combined bandwidth of every active link. If one dish loses sight of the constellation, the others absorb the traffic in milliseconds.
- Multiple Starlink dishes provide independent satellite paths. No two enter handoff at the same moment, so the transition is invisible
- Cellular adds carrier-diverse redundancy in coastal waters and ports
- Shore Wi-Fi at the dock contributes free bandwidth without losing satellite resilience
- Speedify runs encrypted (AES-256-GCM) end-to-end; existing crew, operations, and passenger VLANs remain intact
// what the bridge sees
A connection that doesn't drop.
No reset on the weather feed during a satellite handoff. No timeout on the catch report uploading to shore. No "reconnect" prompt on the crew's video call home when the vessel next door pulls anchor. Just a working link which is, ultimately, the only thing that matters at sea.
03 · Scenarios
Built for every state of the voyage.
Vessels move between connectivity environments constantly: open ocean, fishing grounds, coastal transit, anchorage, port. Speedify rebalances continuously across whichever links are available and best-performing, without intervention from the bridge or ETO.
01 / Underway
Multiple Starlink dishes
Bond two or more Starlink subscriptions on a single account into one network. Speedify distributes packets across every active dish simultaneously and reroutes around any that drop. Add dishes as your throughput and resilience requirements scale.
02 / On station
An adjacent vessel can't take down operations
03 / Alongside
Use shore bandwidth without losing satellite resilience
Add the port's Wi-Fi, dockside cellular, or any wired connection to the bond. Speedify uses every available link to deliver maximum throughput and reduces metered satellite usage during port calls without a manual switch.
04 / Transitions
Coverage shifts continuously without manual reconfiguration
Cellular drops in and out as you cross coverage zones, Starlink degrades and recovers with sea state, shore Wi-Fi appears as you berth. Active sessions stay live across every transition. The captain doesn't need to fail anything over by hand.
04 · Deployment
Two ways to deploy aboard.
Network level
Run Speedify on a supported bonding router so every device aboard - bridge systems, crew Wi-Fi, passenger or guest networks, IoT sensors, vessel telemetry - benefits without per-device installation. Two paths:
- Supported OpenWrt routers: With a Speedify for Routers license.
- Powered by Speedify routers: Speedify is preinstalled and ready to configure.
Device level
05 · Telemetry
One view of every link, from the bridge or shoreside.
Speedify integrates directly with Starlink's dish telemetry to surface real-time link health on the Speedify dashboard. Obstruction events, signal degradation, thermal throttling, and hardware faults appear within 15 seconds of detection, typically before anyone aboard notices the dish stutter.
Each dish reports independently, so on a multi-dish vessel the captain or ETO can pinpoint exactly which terminal is degraded.
