Speedify × Remote Operations
Bond Starlink off the grid. One resilient network for every remote operation.
01 · The Challenge
A single satellite link is no match for the work.
Remote operations live with conditions that punish a single uplink. Starlink's constellation hands off to a new satellite every 15 seconds. Heavy weather, dust, and storm fronts degrade signal. Equipment moves through the site and creates new line-of-sight obstructions. Generators cycle. Vehicles relocate command posts to follow the work. And in a forward operating environment, the link that worked at the staging area might be different from the link that's available three kilometers downrange.
For mining operations, the connectivity is what carries the haul truck telemetry, the drill data, the safety systems, and the camp Wi-Fi the crew rely on for morale on long rotations. For oil and gas, it's well telemetry, real-time pressure data, contractor coordination, and ERP back to corporate. For civil construction, it's project management, BIM coordination, inspection data, payroll, and the increasingly remote workforce that lives onsite for weeks. For defense and emergency operations, it's mission-critical, full stop.
A single Starlink dish is the fastest portable internet ever built. It's also a single point of failure in environments designed to break things.
02 · The Solution
One bonded network. Every link, every site state.
- Multiple Starlink dishes provide independent satellite paths — no two enter handoff at the same moment, so the transition is invisible
- Cellular adds carrier-diverse redundancy when a tower or carrier network is in range
- Speedify runs encrypted (AES-256) end-to-end; existing site VLANs, ICS / SCADA isolation, and any tactical network separation remain intact
- Per-link priorities can route operational traffic (telemetry, command-and-control, safety systems) and crew traffic (welfare Wi-Fi, video calls) differently across the same bond

03 · Scenarios
Built for the work, wherever it goes.
01 / Fixed sites
Whole-site connectivity that doesn't go down with one dish
02 / MOBILE AND VEHICULAR
Connectivity that travels with the operation
03 / Active environments
Obstructions and interference don't take down the link
04 / SURGE CAPACITY
Throughput scales with the link count, not the satellite
04 · Deployment
Two ways to deploy on site or in the vehicle.
Network level
Run Speedify on a supported bonding router so every device — site Wi-Fi, ops workstations, telemetry gateways, IoT sensors, vehicle networks — benefits from bonded connectivity without per-device installation. Two paths:
- Supported OpenWrt routers: With a Speedify for Routers license.
- Powered by Speedify routers: Speedify is preinstalled and ready to configure.
For larger fleets, command vehicles, and integrators building hardened or ruggedized networking stacks, the Speedify SDK is available for direct integration with existing operational IT systems.
Device level
Install the Speedify app directly on a site supervisor's laptop, a remote engineer's workstation, a tactical operator's device, or any high-priority machine. Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
05 · Telemetry
One view of every link, on site or back at HQ.
Speedify integrates directly with Starlink's dish telemetry to surface real-time link health on the Speedify dashboard. Obstruction events, signal degradation, thermal throttling, and hardware faults appear within 15 seconds of detection — typically before anyone on site notices the dish stutter.
Each dish reports independently, so a site IT lead or comms officer can pinpoint exactly which terminal is degraded.
