3 Steps to Combine 2 5G / 4G LTE Cellular Connections on Mac
Cellular connections come in various “shapes” and “sizes” when using them on your Mac computer:
- the most common way to connect to a cellular network is an external USB cellular adapter. For this setup, you will need two of those, one for each network;
- you can get cellular internet from your tethered iPhone or Android device as well (many Android phones USB-tether to a Mac with no extra driver; if yours does not, join its Wi-Fi hotspot instead);

The steps below assume you are using two USB cellular adapters on your Mac.
Step 1: Connect Your First Cellular Connection to Your Mac
Connect your USB cellular adapter to a USB port on your Mac. Some cellular adapters need the manufacturer's dialer app to connect to the internet, so follow the manufacturer's installation and setup instructions.
To confirm the connection, open System Settings > Network (System Preferences > Network on macOS 12 Monterey or earlier) and look for the adapter in the list.
