News and Improvements Coming to Speedify
The 54th episode of Speedify Live is what you could call a special edition, as we change things up by having a Q&A session with Speedify CTO, Brian Prodoehl.
We chat to Brian about Streamergencies, what’s new with Speedify and what else may be coming in the future.
Here are out 5 takeaways from our special Q&A with Speedify’s CTO:
- Brian shares the details of the latest update to the Speedify Account management dashboard, which has just received a complete overhaul! Now customers can view invoices, upgrade or cancel their subscriptions, manage Team members much easier, and purchase Dedicated Servers in case they’re on a Teams plan, and even manage their API keys.
- We also demonstrate the Speedify Livestream Test, located under the Performance Tests section of the app. The test will not go above 50 Mbps, and will mostly test Upload speeds to find out what resolution your connections can handle for your livestream.
- Alex shares a Streamergency he had in a previous stream where his office connection dropped completely, so Speedify jumped over to his cellular connection, saving his livestream from failing!
- Brian tells us how Speedify has helped him personally: whenever his family travels to a part of the US where internet speeds are around 300-400 Kbps at max, by combining his available connections in Speedify, he manages to get a good enough connection to still be able to work and attend meetings.
- One project Speedify has been looking at is creating a Speedify plugin for other apps, like OBS. This way, you could see Speedify in OBS itself, and whenever you go live, Speedify could make sure that your stream is as high priority as it needs to be!
