3 Steps to Use Starlink and Cable or DSL Internet at the Same Time on a Mac
You need an Ethernet cable (and an adapter if your Mac has no Ethernet port), the name and password of your cable or DSL Wi-Fi network, and the Speedify app.
Step 1: Connect Your Mac to the Starlink Router with an Ethernet Cable
The Starlink Gen 3 router has Ethernet ports built in. Older Starlink routers need a Starlink Ethernet adapter, which goes between the Starlink dish’s cable and the Starlink router and gives you an Ethernet port.
Run an Ethernet cable from the Starlink router (or the Starlink Ethernet adapter) to the Ethernet port on your Mac. In most cases, your Mac connects to the internet on its own. MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models have no Ethernet port, so use a USB-C to Ethernet adapter, or a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter.
Step 2: Connect Your Mac to Your Cable or DSL Wi-Fi Network
Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar. (If Wi-Fi is off, choose “Turn Wi-Fi on.”) Pick your cable or DSL Wi-Fi network from the list, and type its password if it asks for one.
Step 3: Download Speedify to Use Both Internet Connections at Once
