Speedify combines Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular, Ethernet, Starlink and satellite into a single bonded internet connection. For a business running Starlink, that means using a second Starlink dish, a cellular line, or a wired circuit at the same time as the primary dish, with automatic failover the moment any one of them drops.
Speedify does this in software, on devices a business already owns, with no proprietary appliance to buy.
This matters for Starlink in particular. Starlink switches satellites on a fixed schedule, performing handovers at the 12th, 27th, 42nd, and 57th second of every minute, synchronized globally. Each handoff is a chance for a dropout, and obstructions, congestion, and weather add more. A single dish, however good, is still a single point of failure.
Bonding removes that single point of failure and adds the throughput of every connected link. Plenty of vendors bond Starlink. The real question for a decision maker is which approach fits a business that wants reliability without a hardware project. This post explains how Speedify bonds Starlink, then compares it against the nine most credible alternatives, each with a dedicated deep-dive post.
How Speedify Bonds Starlink
Speedify connects to Speedify’s global server network, then splits traffic at the packet level across every available connection at once. This is not load balancing or round-robin switching.
A single download, upload, or video stream uses the combined capacity of all bonded connections, up to 95% of theoretical aggregate throughput. When a connection degrades or fails, Speedify reroutes to the remaining connections in under a second, without dropping the session.
For Starlink, Speedify supports three field-proven setups, covered in detail in how Speedify bonds multiple Starlink connections for business:
- Two Starlink dishes, combined. Both dishes run at once. Speedify distributes traffic across both and fails over automatically if one is obstructed.
- Starlink plus 4G/5G cellular, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet. Starlink carries the bulk of the traffic, and the terrestrial links fill the satellite handover gaps and obstruction events.
- Two Starlink dishes plus 4G/5G cellular. Three links bonded at once, the highest redundancy available without fixed-line infrastructure.
Two capabilities separate Speedify from the hardware field. Speedify’s Starlink Control Center surfaces a live view of each dish: obstruction maps, download and upload throughput, ping to the ground station, uptime, and alerts when the actuator motor is stuck, the mast is not vertical, or the dish hits a thermal throttle. For multi-dish sites, Speedify shows every dish side by side, with dish alignment tools to aim each dish at a different section of sky.
Speedify’s cellular sharing feature lets multiple Speedify users on the same local network combine their 4G/5G cellular connections wirelessly, with no cables and no manual hotspot setup. A field crew pools the cellular capacity of the devices already on site into one bonded connection.

Speedify Deployment Options for Business
Speedify runs as software, with no proprietary appliance required. There are three ways to deploy it:
- Speedify software app: runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and supported OpenWrt routers, so bonding happens on the device that needs it. Speedify Teams adds central account, user, and policy management for a business and runs on those same devices.
- Powered by Speedify routers: Speedify firmware on OpenWrt, GL.iNet, or Miri hardware to bond an entire site or vehicle network. See the supported routers list.
- Speedify SDK: embed the bonding engine directly into your own app or hardware product.
Two add-ons work with any Speedify plan. Speedify Dedicated Servers and Speedify Self-Hosted Servers give a business a private server endpoint, with control over where traffic egresses and where data lives. See Speedify server infrastructure.
How Speedify Compares Across the Bonding Market
Every vendor below can bond or combine Starlink in some form. They differ in what you have to buy, where the bonding runs, how much Starlink-specific tooling you get, and the form factor you deploy. The table marks Speedify’s advantage in each capability.
| Solution | Bonding approach | Hardware required | Starlink Control Center (dish telemetry & alignment) | Cellular sharing across devices | Primary form factor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Speedify | Packet-level bonding, up to 95% of aggregate | None | Yes | Yes | Software on existing devices |
| Peplink (SpeedFusion) | Packet-level bonding plus WAN smoothing | Yes | No | No | Proprietary routers plus cloud |
| Bondix (S.A.NE) | Packet-level bonding on a router | Yes, a supported router | No | No | Software on a supported router |
| Mushroom Networks | Broadband Bonding | Yes | No | No | Dedicated bonding appliance |
| Viprinet | Multichannel VPN bonding | Yes, at both ends | No | No | Router on site plus a Hub at the core |

Why Businesses Choose Speedify for Starlink Bonding
Speedify is the only software app that bonds multiple Starlink connections, or Starlink alongside 4G/5G cellular, Wi-Fi, and wired Ethernet, while using all of them at the same time. There is nothing to rack, nothing proprietary to source, and nothing to wait on.
Speedify has run in production environments since 2014, across 15 million downloads and 82 global server locations. For a business, that means a Starlink site can move from one fragile link to a bonded, self-healing connection in the time it takes to install an app. Speedify makes your business internet faster, more reliable, and more secure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Speedify bond two Starlink dishes without any hardware?
Yes. If both Starlink terminals are reachable by the device or router running Speedify, Speedify bonds them in software and fails over automatically if one is obstructed. The Starlink Control Center then helps aim the two dishes at different sky so they do not hit the same obstruction at the same time.
What happens when Starlink drops mid-call?
If a second connection is bonded, whether another dish, cellular, or Ethernet, Speedify keeps the session alive on the remaining link in under a second. The call, transfer, or stream continues without reconnecting.
Do we need a private server of our own?
Not to get started. Speedify’s global server network handles the cloud side by default. Businesses that need control over egress location or data residency can add Speedify Dedicated Servers or Speedify Self-Hosted Servers to any plan.
