What Starlink Bonding Does When a Business Has Several Starlink Dishes

Most businesses that install a second Starlink dish end up with two separate internet connections that work on their own. Without software to combine them, each device uses one internet connection at a time. You get the upload and download speed of one Starlink dish, not both. • Speedify splits a single video call, file upload or VPN session across all your internet connections at once, so it gets close to their combined speed, not the speed of one.

With two Starlink dishes, that means close to the speed of both added together, instead of being capped at the speed of one.

Because all traffic goes through Speedify, nothing restarts when one internet connection drops. The call or upload carries on over the others.

Speedify needs at least two internet connections to do any of this. With one Starlink dish alone, Speedify can’t add speed or stop Starlink’s short drops.

Ways to Combine Multiple Starlink Dishes with Speedify

• Two Starlink dishes together. Both Starlink dishes work at the same time. Speedify spreads traffic across both and moves it to the other one automatically if one drops. The right setup for remote offices and field teams with no 4G/5G cellular coverage.
• Two Starlink dishes plus 4G/5G cellular. Three internet connections at once. The most backup you can get without a wired line: any one of them can fail without taking the site offline. Speedify uses all three for more upload and download speed when all are working.
• Starlink plus 4G/5G cellular from several carriers. For teams on the move, or places where one carrier’s coverage is patchy, Speedify can use Starlink together with SIM cards from two or more carriers. One carrier’s dead spots are covered by the others.

• Connect your device to each Starlink dish, usually through the Wi-Fi network of each Starlink router, or one over Wi-Fi and one with an Ethernet cable.
