How to Combine Wi-Fi and Ethernet on Your Computer for Faster Uploads and Downloads with Speedify

Get Faster, More Reliable Internet: Combine WiFi and Ethernet Together!

Setting up your Mac or PC to use WiFi and Ethernet connections at the same time is a very simple task. In fact, any computer running Windows 7, 8 or 10 or macOS 10.10+ can connect to any combination of available Internet connections. In most cases, setting up multiple Internet connections on your computer doesn’t even require any extra hardware.

See below how Speedify helps with combining WiFI and Ethernet connections in just minutes!

Quick answer

Should you have a backup 4G, 5G, Starlink, or cable internet connection?

Yes — every internet connection goes down, including Starlink, which drops for ~34 minutes a day on average. A backup connection from a different provider means one outage never takes you fully offline. The most common options are a 4G/5G cellular hotspot, a cable or DSL line, or a second satellite dish.

Speedify bonds any two connections into one — automatic failover, more speed, no dropped calls.

What You Need to Combine WiFi and Ethernet Together on Your Computer

If you’re trying to connect multiple Internet connections for faster speeds, note that your various connections must come from different Internet sources – e.g. you might get your Ethernet connection from your home network and the WiFi connection via a close by cafe or public network. Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks that are connected to the same router device cannot be combined for increased bandwidth using channel bonding applications like Speedify, because they both share the same upstream network.

Do you live in an area with multiple WiFi networks available? See below how you can get more bandwidth than what you’re paying for and also protect your online traffic from cyber threats.

Step 1: Connect Your Ethernet Cable

Find your PC or Mac’s Ethernet port and connect the Ethernet cable. If your computer doesn’t have a built-in Ethernet port, you can use a USB-to-Ethernet adapter.

Step 2: Connect Your Computer to a WiFi Network

Connect your Mac or PC to a WiFi network, just as you would normally do. As stated above – the WiFi network and the Ethernet connection have to come from 2 separate Internet links, not from the same router device!

Step 3: Combine WiFi and Ethernet Together with Speedify

Now that you have both connections active on your computer, you need to combine WiFi and Ethernet together at the same time for faster and more reliable Internet. This is where Speedify comes in. Speedify is a next generation channel bonding VPN service for PC, Mac, Android and iOS users that combines all the Internet connections available to your computer or mobile device to create a single fast and secure super-connection. It also keeps your private information safe and protects you from snooping ISPs, hackers, and other cyber threats.

To get started with Speedify, simply install the software on your device and you’re ready to go – it will automatically detect both Wi-Fi connections. And that means you’re using both for their combined speed and reliability.

Don’t let the speed of an additional public WiFi network in the proximity or an extra Internet line from your ISP go to waste – use it with Speedify to combine WiFi and Ethernet together and supplement the bandwidth you’re already paying for! Get started now for FREE – no strings attached, no email sign-up necessary!
