Speedify 16.7: Starlink Control Center to Monitor and Align Multiple Starlink Dishes

Speedify 16.7 Adds the Starlink Control Center

Two Starlink dishes are meant to cover different gaps. Point both dishes at the same patch of sky and both dishes see the same satellites and the same obstructions, so the gaps line up. Speedify 16.7 shows whether your dishes overlap and helps you aim each dish at a different slice of sky.

The short version: Speedify 16.7, released on 6 May 2026 for Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, Linux and OpenWrt, adds the Starlink Control Center: three new dashboard cards for dish health, a 15-minute connectivity timeline and dish orientation. The Starlink Alignment Wizard gains Bonding Alignment, audio tracking and a Setup Analysis report, and an Obstruction Map shows where the view of each dish is blocked. Speedify 16.7 also adds custom adapter colors, detects Slack Huddles as a priority stream, shows display names for Self-Hosted servers, brings Local Load Balancer mode to Windows, shows signal and carrier details for cellular modems on Linux and routers, and works better on Linux systems that use the AppArmor security feature.

In this release:

  • Starlink Control Center: three new dashboard cards
  • Starlink Alignment Wizard: Bonding Alignment, audio tracking, Setup Analysis
  • Starlink Obstruction Map
  • Windows: Local Load Balancer mode
  • Linux: cellular modem details on the dashboard
  • Custom adapter colors, Slack Huddles detection and Self-Hosted server names

Three Starlink Control Center Cards for Monitoring Starlink Dishes

The Starlink Control Center appears on the Speedify dashboard when Speedify detects one or more Starlink internet connections. With a single Starlink dish, the Control Center lets you monitor and tune the dish from inside Speedify. With several dishes, the Control Center coordinates the dishes as a bonded fleet.

  • Starlink Summary card: status, speed, ping, obstruction percentage and uptime for each dish, read directly from the dish. The ping covers only the trip from the dish to the Starlink ground station.
  • Starlink Connectivity card: a 15-minute timeline per dish, plus a Combined row that shows whether your dishes overlap or cover separate gaps. If the Combined row shows gaps while each dish looks healthy, the dishes are probably seeing the same obstructions.
  • Starlink Dish Orientation card: a compass-style view of where each dish points, with the direction, tilt and obstruction percentage, so you can tell whether multiple dishes actually cover different sky.

How to Align Several Starlink Dishes With Bonding Alignment and Audio Tracking

The Starlink Alignment Wizard arrived in Speedify 16.6.1. Speedify 16.7 adds three tools to the wizard.

  • Bonding Alignment: picks a target direction for each dish that complements the other dishes, instead of the standard single-dish orientation. Turn on Bonding Alignment under the Alignment section of the Starlink Control Center. Bonding Alignment has no effect with a single dish.
  • Audio tracking: select a dish in the Dish Orientation card to open the wizard for that dish. As you rotate the dish toward the target, Speedify beeps faster as the alignment error drops, useful when the dish sits on a roof.
  • Setup Analysis report: a live report that flags everything in your Starlink setup worth fixing. Tap a line about a specific dish to jump to the wizard for that dish.

The Starlink Obstruction Map Shows What Blocks Each Dish

Speedify pulls the latest obstruction map from each Starlink dish and draws a round view of the sky above the dish. Green marks clear sky, red marks where the dish has been blocked, and gray marks sky Starlink has no data on yet. With multiple dishes, the maps sit side by side so overlap is easy to spot.

When obstruction clearly comes from one direction, the alignment wizard suggests a specific rotation, for example: “Most of the obstruction is to the south. Try rotating the dish 30° north.”

Local Load Balancer Mode Comes to Windows

Local Load Balancer mode, introduced in Speedify 16, is now available on Windows. In Local Load Balancer mode, Speedify spreads your apps’ traffic across your internet connections, one download, call or web page at a time, entirely on your device, with no VPN tunnel to Speedify servers.

To turn the mode on, open the ≡ menu in the top left of the Speedify app, go to Bonding Mode and choose Local Load Balancer. The limits: no encryption, no splitting of a single download or upload across internet connections, and no streaming optimization. If an internet connection drops, an ongoing file upload or video call may be interrupted, though Speedify usually switches to a working internet connection within a couple of seconds.

Other Fixes and Changes in Speedify 16.7

  • Custom adapter colors: the network adapter color picker now has a custom color option. Pick any color for any adapter.
  • Slack Huddles detection: Speedify now detects Slack Huddles automatically and treats Slack Huddles as a built-in priority stream, alongside Zoom, Teams and Discord. Priority streams get Enhance Streaming treatment, ahead of other traffic.
  • Self-Hosted server display names: Self-Hosted servers show a friendly display name in the server picker and on the dashboard, instead of only the server’s address.
  • Linux, cellular modem details: Speedify shows signal strength, network type (such as 4G or 5G), carrier, and the modem and SIM card ID numbers for cellular modems on Linux that use ModemManager, the standard Linux tool for cellular modems. The details appear alongside Starlink and other ISP stats.
  • Linux, AppArmor compatibility: improvements for distributions that ship with AppArmor enabled by default. AppArmor is a Linux security feature that limits what each program may do.
