Starlink gives you fast downloads most of the time: Starlink lists download speeds of 45 to 280 Mbps, depending on your plan and location. But your Starlink internet connection still slows down or drops in bad weather, when something blocks your Starlink dish’s view of the sky, when the Starlink network is busy in the evening, when the Starlink dish overheats or its motor gets stuck, and for a moment each time your Starlink dish switches satellites, about every 15 seconds.
When Starlink drops, your iPhone’s calls, video meetings and uploads drop with it, unless a second internet connection is already working. 4G/5G cellular comes from towers on the ground, so what stops Starlink usually doesn’t stop cellular, and the other way around.

How to Use Starlink and 4G/5G Cellular at Once on iPhone with Speedify
Step 1: Check That Cellular Data Is Turned On
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular (called Mobile Service or Mobile Data in some countries) and check that Cellular Data is on. One or two bars of 4G/5G signal is enough for Speedify to use.
Step 2: Connect Your iPhone to Your Starlink Wi-Fi Network
Check that your Starlink dish is set up and its Wi-Fi network is on. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to your Starlink Wi-Fi network. Check that the Wi-Fi icon shows in your iPhone’s status bar.
Step 3: Download and Run Speedify
Download Speedify from the App Store and open it. The first time you connect, your iPhone asks to let Speedify add VPN configurations: tap Allow and enter your iPhone passcode. Use Cellular Only When Starlink Drops, to Save Data
If your cellular plan has a data cap, tap the cellular connection in Speedify and set its priority to Backup. Speedify then sends everything over Starlink Wi-Fi and uses cellular only when Starlink drops. You can also set a data limit for cellular.
