Why Use a Standard Starlink Dish and a Starlink Mini Together
Starlink Mini (specifications .pdf) is a small, light Starlink dish made for travel. It is easy to carry and set up in a new place. Some people keep a standard Starlink dish at home and a Starlink Mini for trips.
When both are in the same place, you have two separate internet connections running on separate hardware. If a tree blocks one Starlink dish, the other keeps going, and together they give you more speed than one alone. Both dishes switch satellites on the same 15-second schedule, though, so a second Starlink dish does not cover those short drops; a 4G/5G cellular connection does.
Account and Plan Rules for a Standard Starlink Dish and a Starlink Mini
A Starlink account can hold more than one Starlink dish, each with its own subscription: up to 8 on a Residential account, with no limit on a Business account. Which bundles are on offer is up to Starlink, so check your Starlink account or starlink.com. What matters for travel: Residential plans are for one fixed address, while Roam plans work on the move. A Starlink Mini you take on the road needs a plan that covers it there.
How Speedify Uses a Starlink Dish and a Starlink Mini at the Same Time
Speedify runs on your laptop and watches both Starlink internet connections all the time: speed, delay and how much data each one loses.
When both work well, Speedify sends your traffic over both, so you get more speed than either one gives you alone. When one weakens or drops, Speedify moves your traffic to the other on its own. Calls, uploads and video don’t stop.

Step 1: Set Up Both Starlink Dishes
Make sure your standard Starlink dish and your Starlink Mini are both set up and online. Each one should have its own Wi-Fi network, or be reachable by Ethernet cable.
Step 2: Connect Your Laptop to Both Starlink Networks
Connect your laptop to one Starlink network by Wi-Fi and to the other by Ethernet cable. No Ethernet port on your laptop? Use a USB Ethernet adapter, or a USB Wi-Fi adapter to join the second Starlink Wi-Fi network. Check that both show up as working connections in your network settings.
