Speedify Connects 5 Starlink Internet Connections for Faster, More Reliable and Secure Internet
To connect 5 Starlink dishes together, plug all five into one router that runs Speedify, or into one computer running the Speedify app. Speedify uses all five Starlink internet connections at the same time, so you get faster downloads and uploads than one Starlink dish gives you, and you stay online when one Starlink dish drops. For a smaller site, see how to connect 3 Starlink dishes together.
Starlink doesn’t combine dishes on its own. Each Starlink dish is a separate internet connection, and a computer or a normal router uses only one of them at a time. With five Starlink dishes, a router that runs Speedify is usually the easier setup, because few computers have five network ports. For an even bigger setup, here is how to connect 8 Starlink dishes to one router.

Starlink Internet Connection Dropouts Happen to Everyone
Speedify measures thousands of Starlink users in more than 150 countries. From 29 September to 12 October 2026, fixed Starlink dishes went offline for about 37 minutes a day on average, and Starlink dishes on RVs and boats for about 61 minutes a day.
Starlink also switches each dish to a new satellite every 15 seconds, and a switch can cause a short dropout. Even a perfectly installed Starlink dish goes offline, and about 7 in 10 Starlink users on Speedify use Starlink together with a second internet connection, like 4G/5G cellular.
5 Starlink Dishes Give Faster Uploads and Downloads and Fewer Dropouts
Starlink says one Starlink dish gets downloads of 45 to 280 Mbps and uploads of 10 to 30 Mbps. The speed you actually get moves around inside that range. It drops in the evening when the Starlink network is busy, rain and snow weaken the signal, and each Starlink dish switches satellites about every 15 seconds, which causes short dropouts.
Using five Starlink dishes together with Speedify helps you:
- Get far more download and upload speed than one Starlink dish can give you
- Stay online when one Starlink dish is blocked, loses power or has a problem
You don’t have to buy an expensive business router that takes several internet connections. Speedify does the same job as an app on your computer, or on a router that works with Speedify.
What You Need to Connect 5 Starlink Dishes Together
Speedify is an app that combines Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular, Starlink, wired internet and other internet connections into one internet connection, and encrypts everything you send over it. It works with several Starlink dishes at once, on any device you connect.
For five Starlink dishes, you need:
- Five active Starlink dishes. Each Starlink dish needs its own Starlink subscription, so you pay for five subscriptions.
- A way to connect each Starlink router: an Ethernet cable, or its Wi-Fi network. The Starlink Gen 3 router has Ethernet ports built in. Older Starlink routers need the Starlink Ethernet Adapter for a cable.
- Room and power for five Starlink dishes: five mounting spots, each with a clear view of the sky, and a power outlet for each Starlink dish.
- A router that works with Speedify that can take five internet connections at once, or a computer that can connect to all five Starlink routers at once
- A Speedify subscription
How to Connect 5 Starlink Dishes to One Router That Runs Speedify
- Install your five Starlink dishes following Starlink’s instructions for using several Starlink dishes at one site, at least 0.9 meters (about 3 feet) apart.
- Put Speedify on your router. On a router that runs OpenWrt (free router software that many routers can run), get a Speedify Routers plan and install Speedify on the router. Or use a router that comes with Speedify already on it, like the Miri X510.
- Connect all five Starlink routers to your router, with an Ethernet cable for each one, or over Wi-Fi if your router can use a Wi-Fi network as an internet connection.
- Open Speedify on the router and set all five Starlink internet connections to Primary, so Speedify uses them at the same time.
- Connect your phones, laptops and TVs to your router. Every device on it now uses all five Starlink dishes. A sixth Starlink dish works the same way: see how to use 6 Starlink dishes at once.
How to Connect 5 Starlink Dishes to One Computer and Share the Internet over Wi-Fi
- Install your five Starlink dishes following Starlink’s instructions for using several Starlink dishes at one site, at least 0.9 meters (about 3 feet) apart.
- Connect all five Starlink routers to a Windows, macOS or Linux computer. Use any mix of Ethernet ports, USB to Ethernet adapters, the computer’s own Wi-Fi and USB Wi-Fi adapters: for example, 2 Ethernet cables and 3 Wi-Fi networks, or 1 Wi-Fi network and 4 Ethernet cables. On a Mac, USB Wi-Fi adapters only work with an Intel processor and macOS 11 Big Sur or older, so connect the extra Starlink routers with Ethernet cables.
- For even fewer dropouts, add 4G/5G cellular too: connect an iPhone or Android phone with a USB cable and turn on its hotspot, or plug in a USB cellular modem.

- Open Speedify on the computer and set all five Starlink internet connections to Primary.
- Test your speed with the speed test built into Speedify, or with a speed test site like speedtest.net or fast.com.
- You can also share the combined internet connection with your phones, tablets and other devices over Wi-Fi, from a computer running Windows, macOS or Linux.
What You Get from 5 Starlink Dishes Combined with Speedify
Speedify adds up the download and upload speed of all five Starlink dishes for streaming, video calls, online games and large downloads and uploads. How much of that total reaches your devices also depends on how fast your router or computer is, since it has to carry the traffic of all five Starlink dishes. When one Starlink dish goes down, Speedify moves your traffic to the others, and you stay online.
All five Starlink dishes still use the same Starlink network, and every Starlink dish switches satellites on the same 15-second schedule. A Starlink network outage takes all five down together, and the short dropout at each satellite switch hits all five at the same moment. A 4G/5G cellular connection or a cable or DSL line added to Speedify covers you in both cases.
If you live or work in a remote area and depend on Starlink, five Starlink dishes used together with Speedify give you faster downloads and uploads than one Starlink dish, from one app on your router or computer. Speedify makes your Starlink faster, more reliable, and more secure.
