Speedify Lets You Use a Second Starlink on Your Account for More Reliable Internet and Faster Upload and Download Speeds
You can add a second Starlink dish to your account. Starlink supports multiple dishes across a single account. But having two Starlink dishes does not automatically give you the combined upload and download speed or automatic failover. Speedify makes that possible by bonding both Starlink internet connections simultaneously using Speedify’s channel bonding technology.
This guide covers how to add a second Starlink to your account, what Speedify adds on top of it, and how to get both Starlink connections running together.
What Happens When You Add a Second Starlink to Your Account
Starlink allows you to add additional dishes to an existing account. Each Starlink dish operates as a separate internet connection with its own hardware and data allocation. You can place them at different locations or use both at the same place for redundancy or increased throughput.
However, having two Starlink dishes on one account does not automatically combine their upload and download speeds or protect you from dropouts. Your device connects to one dish at a time. If that dish drops, your session drops. To actually use both internet connections simultaneously and benefit from combined upload and download speeds, you need software that can bond them.
That is where Speedify comes in. Speedify runs on your device and manages both Starlink connections at once, distributing your traffic across both and failing over automatically if either drops.
Note: Two dishes on the same Starlink account share the same satellite infrastructure pool. For stronger redundancy, two separate Starlink accounts on separate dishes are less likely to experience congestion or outages at the same time.
How Speedify Bonds Two Starlink Internet Connections from One Account
Speedify detects both active Starlink connections on your device and monitors them simultaneously. Speedify tracks latency, packet loss, and available bandwidth on each connection every few milliseconds.
When both Starlink connections are healthy, Speedify routes traffic across both and delivers up to 95% of their combined upload and download capacity. When one Starlink connection degrades or drops, Speedify shifts all traffic to the working connection at the packet level. Active sessions stay live throughout.
Speedify also encrypts all your internet traffic across both Starlink connections, keeping your data protected on every path.

How to Use Two Starlink Dishes Together with Speedify
Assuming you already have one Starlink dish set up on your account, here’s what you have to do:
Step 1: Set Up Your Second Starlink Dish
Add the second Starlink dish to your Starlink account through the Starlink app. Once set up, each dish broadcasts its own Wi-Fi network or connects via Ethernet through its own router.
Step 2: Connect Your Device to Both Starlink Networks
Connect to the first Starlink dish via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Then, connect to the second Starlink dish via the other available network adapter: Wi-Fi or Ethernet. You can also use a second Ethernet port or a USB Wi-Fi adapter, if you want to use the same type of network adapter for both Starlink internet connections. Confirm both Starlink internet connections are active in your network settings.
Step 3: Download and Run Speedify
Download Speedify on your device. Speedify will detect both Starlink connections and begin bonding them immediately. No manual routing configuration is needed.
Speedify handles both connections in the background from that point: combining them for faster upload and download speeds, monitoring for drops, failing over instantly, and encrypting all traffic.

Who Should Add a Second Starlink Internet Connection and Use Both Starlinks Together with Speedify
- Remote workers and households in areas where a single Starlink dish provides inconsistent coverage and a second dish adds a reliable backup
- Businesses and facilities that need higher combined upload and download throughput than a single Starlink dish can deliver
- Content creators and live streamers who need the combined upload capacity of two Starlink connections from the same account
- IT managers managing multi-dish Starlink deployments who want software-based bonding and failover without additional hardware
- Anyone already paying for two Starlink dishes who wants to actually use both connections at the same time instead of switching between them manually

Speedify Also Monitors Both Starlink Dishes in Real Time
Speedify displays real-time Starlink dish alerts for each connected dish in the app dashboard. If either dish detects a stuck actuator motor, a non-vertical mast, or a thermal throttle condition, Speedify surfaces the alert immediately. Alerts appear when the condition has been active for at least 15 seconds and clear once resolved.
With two Starlink dishes active, Speedify gives you hardware visibility across both from a single dashboard.
