7 Steps to Combine a DSL Line with a Tethered Phone Using Speedify

- Connect your phone to your computer with the USB cable by plugging it into an empty USB port. Make sure the operating system detects the phone and installs the correct drivers for it. On Windows, an iPhone needs Apple’s drivers, which come with iTunes or Apple Devices. On a Mac, many Android phones tether with no driver: in the Mac’s Network settings, uncheck “Disable unless needed” for the phone’s network, and turn the phone’s Wi-Fi off. If your Android phone does not show up, plug the Mac into the DSL router with an Ethernet cable and join the phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot instead.
- Turn on tethering in your phone’s settings: USB tethering on an Android phone, or Personal Hotspot on an iPhone.
