Use a VPN to Unblock Kongregate and Play Games Online
Game portals are among the first things a school or office filter blocks, so Kongregate tends to be unreachable on exactly the networks people want to use it on. Miniclip is in the same spot: here is how to get Miniclip unblocked.
To get Kongregate unblocked, use Speedify. Speedify is an app that encrypts your traffic so the school or office network cannot see which site you open, and combines Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular and other internet connections at once so games load faster and lag less. If Tetris is the game you are after, see how to unblock Tetris.
With Speedify, your internet stays on when one connection fails.

Why Schools and Offices Block Kongregate Games
Kongregate is a website full of online games, so the main reasons for blocking it are internet bandwidth (on school networks) and lost productivity (at work).
Websites can be blocked at three levels:
- the computer level, through network settings and special software;
- the network level, by admins who restrict access to certain websites and services;
- the ISP or government level, similar to admins but at a much larger scale, which is usually called Internet censorship.
Some DNS services, such as OpenDNS, also provide options to block certain types of websites for different users sharing the computer.
The quickest way around a network or ISP block is an encrypted connection, as the next section shows.
How to Get Kongregate Unblocked and Enjoy Free Online Games
Getting Kongregate unblocked is easy. All you need is a VPN (Virtual Private Network), a service that puts a server between your computer and the rest of the internet. A VPN works like an internet proxy, but encrypts your traffic and is more reliable.
VPNs, however, do have a slight disadvantage: they slow down your Internet connection. The slowdown comes from the added encryption on your Internet traffic. You need the fastest VPN out there to really enjoy Kongregate, and Tom’s Guide named Speedify the fastest VPN in one of its speed tests.
Here’s what you should do to unblock Kongregate:
- Download and install Speedify, then create a free account (the free tier includes 5 GB per month) or sign in.
- Open Speedify. Speedify connects to a Speedify server automatically, so the network sees only an encrypted connection instead of Kongregate.
- Open Kongregate and play as usual.
Why Speedify Is the Best VPN to Get Kongregate Unblocked
For faster, more stable and secure Internet while gaming, pick an app that combines internet connections and encrypts your traffic, instead of a regular VPN that relies on one connection. Speedify does exactly that.
Speedify helps you avoid and fix slow and unreliable Internet connectivity by minimizing packet loss and increasing bandwidth through combining 2 or more connections simultaneously.
For gaming, Speedify fixes slow game connections, and if you’re live streaming your game on Twitch or YouTube, Speedify can also fix dropped frames. You can use Speedify when gaming on your Xbox or other console too: use a PC to share the Speedify connection over Wi-Fi with Connectify Hotspot.
