Unbreakable VPN Connection to Fix Slow VyprVPN by Combining Starlink, Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G, and DSL with Speedify
Nothing about privacy requires giving up half your speed, though a slow VyprVPN internet connection makes it feel that way. Encryption adds a little overhead; the bigger cost is one crowded internet connection carrying all of it.
Speedify encrypts your traffic and adds your internet connections together – home Wi-Fi plus a phone’s 5G cellular data, for example – so uploads and downloads come out faster than a VPN running on a single internet connection can manage.
The sections that follow explain why VyprVPN slows your internet down, how to speed it up, and what you gain by using Speedify instead: privacy without the speed penalty.
Should you have a backup 4G, 5G, Starlink, or cable internet connection?
Yes — every internet connection goes down, including Starlink, which drops for ~34 minutes a day on average. A backup connection from a different provider means one outage never takes you fully offline. The most common options are a 4G/5G cellular hotspot, a cable or DSL line, or a second satellite dish.

Works anywhere. Just a SIM or hotspot — no installation needed.

Best for fixed locations. Different network, so outages rarely overlap.

Adds redundancy and throughput for remote sites or heavy usage.

VyprVPN indicates that when using their service you should expect some slowing of your Internet connection. This is because all of the data being sent and received by your device has to pass through the VyprVPN servers to be encrypted. This extra processing causes a slower connection.
Additionally, the farther away you are from the encryption server, the slower your connection is likely to be.
However, there are other factors that may be causing additional slowing of your connection. These issues include:
- Crowded servers
- ISP issues
- Distant servers
- VPN protocol issues
How to Fix a Slow VyprVPN Connection
Before you assume that the problem is with your VyprVPN connection, you need to make sure that the issues isn’t your underlying Internet connection. Test the speed of your Internet connection with the VyprVPN app turned off. If the connection is as slow or even slower than before, the problem is with your network or your ISP.
You can try these steps to solve problems with your network:
- Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi
- Restart your modem and router
- Restart your device or computer
- Use a different VPN protocol in your computer’s settings
If any of the above doesn’t solve the slow Internet connection, then the issue is with your ISP, so, you will need to contact customer support for your ISP.
If your Internet connection only slows down when VyprVPN is started, then you will want to try the following in the app:
- Check the Ping rate of the server you are connected to. Only connect to a server with a green ping time
- Make sure you are connected to the server closest to you
If you are unable to get the kind of fast, reliable Internet connection using VyprVPN that you need, you may need to try alternative VPN solutions.
Speedify = Speed and Reliability at the Same Time
Speedify is a VPN for mobility service that works unlike any other VPN app. Speedify was designed to be fast and secure. Like other VPNs it encrypts all of the data coming to and from your device, but unlike other VPNs, it doesn’t slow down your connection.
But, Speedify is much more than just a VPN. It allows your mobile and desktop devices to connect to the Internet using multiple connections at the same time. This gives you more bandwidth and gives you a more reliable Internet connection.
Speedify constantly monitors the quality of your connections and routes your data. It can detect if a connection becomes unstable. Because of its auto failover feature, it will automatically reroute all data through an available connection until the lost connection is restored.
Also, the security features of Speedify are natively designed with almost no impact on Internet connection speed and battery life for mobile devices. You are completely protected from ISPs that monitor your online traffic, cyber attackers and other risks such as public unprotected Wi-Fi networks. Plus, unlike other VPNs, we do not log any data regarding your online activities!
Speedify believes you should never have to choose between speed and security. If you want to see what a VPN is like that doesn’t limit the way you use the Internet, get started with Speedify today for FREE – no strings attached, no email sign-up necessary!
