Get a Fast and Reliable Internet Setup for a Remote Branch Office with Speedify

The Best Internet Setup for a Remote Branch Office

Branch offices often run mission-critical Voice over IP calls alongside point-of-sale systems, inventory syncs, and cloud logins, all riding on whatever internet connection the local landlord or ISP happens to offer. A single cable or DSL line at a satellite location means every outage, every peak-hour slowdown, and every construction crew that clips a utility line takes the whole branch offline at once.

Speedify fixes that single point of failure by bonding every internet connection available at a branch into one resilient link. Speedify’s channel bonding technology combines Wi-Fi, 4G/5G cellular, Ethernet, Starlink and other satellite, using up to 95% of the combined capacity so a branch runs on the combined throughput of every line instead of the ceiling of just one.

Branch Internet Connectivity Requirements and Risks

A remote branch office typically needs steady bandwidth for point-of-sale terminals, security cameras, VoIP handsets, and staff access to internal systems, often running through a single circuit installed long before headcount doubled.

That circuit becomes a single point of failure: an ISP outage, a cut line, or ordinary peak-hour congestion drops every one of those systems at once. Branches in strip malls or industrial parks frequently have only one or two ISP options to begin with, so redundancy has to come from combining what’s already available rather than waiting months for a second fiber drop.

Single ISP vs Bonded, Managed Connectivity

A single-ISP branch is only as reliable as that one contract, and switching providers after a bad outage does nothing to prevent the next one. Bonded, managed connectivity takes a different approach: Speedify’s enterprise channel bonding combines every available circuit at a branch under central policy control, so IT teams manage bandwidth, failover, and static IPs from one dashboard across every location.

The same approach that keeps a single remote worker productive, covered in reliable internet while working from anywhere, scales down to a two-person kiosk or up to a fifty-branch retail chain without changing the underlying technology.

How Speedify Bonds Wired and Cellular Per Branch

At each branch, Speedify treats the existing cable or fiber line as one active path and adds one or more 4G/5G cellular connections as members of the same bonded tunnel, not as standby.

Traffic splits across both in real time, and if the wired line saturates during a busy afternoon or drops entirely, Speedify fails over in under a second, keeping calls and card transactions running without a reconnect. All traffic travels encrypted under a strict no-logs policy, so branch data crossing a cellular carrier’s network stays as protected as it would on a private line.

Central Management, Static IPs, and Rollout Across Branches

Multi-branch deployments need more than a good connection at each site, they need visibility across all of them. Speedify’s central management assigns static IPs per branch, supports dedicated servers for consistent routing, and reports connection health across every location from one console, so an IT team sees a flaky branch before store staff have to call it in.

Rolling out bonded connectivity across a branch network follows a short sequence:

  1. Audit each branch’s existing wired connection and available cellular coverage.
  2. Download Speedify on the branch router, gateway device, or point-of-sale server.
  3. Assign static IPs and set central policies from the management dashboard.
  4. Pilot the setup at two or three branches before a full rollout.
  5. Budget cellular data per branch based on actual bonded usage, not worst-case guesses.

Bonding needs at least two working paths to add resilience, and does not invent bandwidth a branch’s connections don’t already have. A branch with a slow DSL line and a weak cellular signal stays capped by the sum of those two, bonding just makes sure the branch actually gets that sum instead of losing capacity to an outage.

Remote Branch Office Internet: FAQ

Does Speedify replace a branch’s existing ISP?
Speedify works alongside the existing ISP connection rather than replacing it, adding cellular or additional wired lines into the same bonded tunnel for extra capacity and redundancy.

Can one IT team manage bonding across many branches?
Speedify’s enterprise management console lets a single team assign static IPs, monitor connection health, and adjust bonding policy across every branch from one dashboard.

What happens to a VoIP call if a branch’s main line drops?
Speedify fails over an active call to a remaining connection in under a second, so a dropped wired line does not disconnect an in-progress conversation.

Is branch traffic secure when it travels over cellular?
Speedify encrypts every packet under a strict no-logs policy regardless of which underlying connection carries it, including cellular networks.
