Why does SurfEasy VPN slow down my connection?
There are several known issues that can cause your SurfEasy connection to run slowly. Before you can address your problem you have need to figure out the cause.
Note that many VPN apps are expected to slow down your browsing some because you are adding extra steps to the Internet browsing process. The SurfEasy servers must first encrypt all of the data going back and forth between your device and various websites.
However, if you are facing more than just a minor slowdown, there may be other issues. Turn off your SurfEasy VPN and check the speed of your Internet connection. If the connection is slow even when not using SurfEasy, the problem is likely your network or your ISP.
