What to Know About the US 2020 Presidential Debates: When, Where, How to Watch
The two candidates for becoming the next President of the United States of America are, as you know, current President Donald Trump and Joe Biden. They will face each other off in a series of 3 presidential debates:
- September 29 - Cleveland, Ohio - moderated by Chris Wallace of Fox News;
- October 15 - Miami, Florida - moderated by Steve Scully of C-SPAN;
- October 22 - Nashville, Tennessee - moderated by Kristen Welker of NBC.
There will also be a vice presidential debate on October 7, in Salt Lake City, Utah, between Mike Pence and Kamala Harris. Susan Page of USA Today will be moderating this one.
If you haven't made up your mind or just want to see the 2 candidates debating, read below to see where you can watch the 2020 presidential debate online. And, most importantly, how to make sure it won't be disconnected or buffering.
Quick answer
Should you have a backup 4G, 5G, Starlink, or cable internet connection?
Yes — every internet connection goes down, including Starlink, which drops for ~34 minutes a day on average. A backup connection from a different provider means one outage never takes you fully offline. The most common options are a 4G/5G cellular hotspot, a cable or DSL line, or a second satellite dish.
4G/5G cellular
Works anywhere. Just a SIM or hotspot — no installation needed.
